adidas re-visits a cult classic silhouette originally released in 2002. The heavily bevelled midsole profile and distinctive TPU grill made the ClimaCool a smashing success some 22 years ago and we haven't been able to buy a retro pair since 2017.

The ClimaCool shared the shelves with models like Nike's Air Max Plus (TN's to most of us) and its Salomon step-siblings. The namesake and ultimate detail of the shoe was undoubtably ClimaCool technology, which made them supremely breathable.

How did they achieve that? Through ventilation of course—mesh uppers, TPU 'ribcage' with even thinner mesh and holes in the midsole. You read that right, the ClimaCool features vents in the outsole which move air through the entire shoe. It's not exactly optimal for wet weather but then why would you reach for these when it's raining anyway? At least they'd dry quickly...
